I know I don't have a lot of variety in my posts...

But goodness, I love this kid.
Now, if only I could convince her a pose a little more for the camera.  She's SOoooo difficult!  (EXTREME SARCASM!!!)
Jillian's favorite sentence: "Mommy camera... CHEESE!!!"

16 Week Check up...

Yesterday Ryan and I went for an OB Appointment.  At 16 weeks, we hoped if an ultrasound was done, we would get to find out if baby is a boy, or a girl.  However, the results were unclear.  So- this weekend, we decided to pay out of pocket for a gender determination ultrasound.

THE RESULTS ARE IN...

Princess Jillian!

My girlfriend Heather brought this little crown over for Jillian on St. Patrick's day.  On Wednesday, she wore it all day, and proudly announced, "Me Princess!" to anyone who would listen.  We had a bit of a struggle at nap time when I explained that "princess crown" could not go into her crib.  :)  Sweet little girls....

Thanks, Heather!

My trip to Portland... sans baby!

Natalie, Becky, Nancy, and Sarah!

Sometimes it is hard to be all the way on the East coast without family, or any of the friends I had in Arizona.  The good part about that, is I have been incredibly blessed with a new group of people in Maryland that I adore.  So, make new friends but keep the old....  That's the plan!

This past weekend, I left Jillian home with Ryan (I hear she had lucky charms and a donut for dinner the first night I left) and went to Portland to attend a Bachelorette party for my friend Becky.  Becky and Joey are getting married in April, and I am so glad I was able to travel to be a part of this celebration, and I'm looking forward to more travel and fun in a few weeks when we go to AZ for the big day!  I love getting together with, "my girls".

Becky and I met in high school.  In 7th grade she says I was, "a little overwhelming and scary" so she thought the best idea was to befriend me rather than fear me.  HA!!  Good call, Beck!  ;)

Sarah and Natalie are two wonderful California girls that Becky and I met in the dorms at ASU.  Put the whole group together and you've got, "The Fearsome Foursome".  A little lame (I know!) but a wonderful, wonderful group I'm lucky to be a part of.  Makes me tear up a little just thinking about my sweet girls and all the fun we've had together.  I miss you guys so much.

Anyway-  With the time change and all the travel (and the fact that I couldn't partake in drinking the night away) it was an exhausting trip (We didn't go to bed on Saturday until 3:30am- 6:30 am in DC!!!!) but it was TOTALLY worth it.

Congratulations Becky!  I can't wait to be a part of your wedding!  You're gonna be such a gorgeous bride!

P.S.- Despite a possible sugar rush, Ryan was 100% successful taking care of Jillian on his own.  I came back to a happy baby, clean house, and even some laundry washed and put away!  :)  Go Ryan!

Spaghetti dinner

I actually wanted to leave my "Daddy's Girl" post up for a little longer, but I have to share this collage.  These are the photos I've been missing out on by leaving my little point and shoot camera (that will fit in my purse) behind!  I love my family!

Daddy's Girl

I have to say- I feel so lucky to have the chance to witness Ryan being a Daddy.  I already knew he was an amazing husband and friend, but this experience brings my love for him to a whole new level.  Jillian adores him, and he adores her.  It is just the sweetest thing.

Lately our morning routine has been for Ryan to get up at 7:00 with Jillian, and make her breakfast.  Every morning, she asks for cereal.  I usually eat either Cheerios or Chex, while Ryan is a Lucky Charms fan.  She used to ask for "Daddy cereal, or Mommy cereal!"  Now, she only wants Lucky Charms and calls it "Jillian cereal"  Hmmm...  I think she's hooked.  Oh well.  She's just starting to turn the corner on eating broccoli, so I'll look the other way when we serve her a bowl of sugar in the morning.  lol

I used the photo below for our new blog header, but I had to share it here too.  It is my FAVORITE right now.
