It's something new every day...

Her walking is just a little wobbly (because she had just gotten up from a nap) but I think her climbing skills are top knotch!

I had to add this video as well to show off how fast she can walk when she's inside and fully awake. She's pretty fast, even when she gets distracted by a ball... :)

We quickly went from a wobbly little walker, to a little girl that strolls around the entire house. Aside from times where it is necessary (like to crawl under the table) Ryan and I have noticed that Jillian is walking all the time! She can even walk out the front door and to the car door when we are headed somewhere. As a result, we have been trying harder to get her used to wearing shoes. She's getting better and better at it, and thanks to Kelly and Emily, she has lots of shoes to choose from!

Have a great weekend!

Another day at the beach...

What a lucky little girl, spending her time at the beach hanging out... So much fun! This is the same beach area that we went to not so long ago, and Jillian enjoyed it even more this time. I think it made a big difference because she can walk now so there was much more exploring to do...

A quick rinse in the sink...

Such a classic baby moment... a rinse in the kitchen sink.

Almost every morning, Jillian gets a quick bath after she eats breakfast. Usually, I have her eat in just a diaper to cut down on stains/laundry. It's perfect right now while the weather is not cold.

She really likes playing with the water, and usually drinks a good bit while playing. She likes to try to lick the stream while it passes by her face. I'm pretty sure she has picked that move up from Peanut.

Splish Splash:I LOVE being in the water:
Sneaky baby face:
So innocent... Perhaps I can just sneak up on the water from around the back...
Ahh! It still sprayed me right in the face! So silly:

How much do you know about your birthday?

I thought this was kinda cool... especially the part that tells me how old I am in dog years- I'm just a pup!

Information about your birthday!

Pretty Girl!

Here are some photos I took yesterday of our pretty baby girl! We hope you are having a wonderful day!

The photo below (wearing the baseball cap) was actually a few days ago... Jillian found this hat out in Ryan's office, and was in LOVE with it. She kept looking at herself in the mirror with it on and grinning. It was so cute that I found a little visor at the store on sale and bought it for her. What do you know... she prefers the hat. haha...

Okay- I know this video has the potential to be sorta long and boring...

...but I think it is fantastic!

I can't believe how big Jillian is getting! We borrowed this toy from a friend in our MOMS group yesterday, (no more high chair walker) and she L-O-V-E-S it! Peanut likes chasing her around the house too. It's fun for the whole family! If only I can rig up something for her to be cleaning the floor while she runs around... Hmmm... ;)

P.S.- I added a song to this one... So, be sure to turn up (or down) your sound depending on where you are!

It's obviously blog catch up day...

Okay- sorry to bombard you with new posts. I swear three new entries in a day is my max.

Just wanted to share two photos from the 4th of July. We actually took a surprisingly small amount of photos... I guess we were having too good of a time to bother with a camera!

Check out what Jillian has been up to lately, and how much better her walking has gotten!

Just so you know (in case you are at work...) this video does have sound, and is one minute, 43 seconds long..

Aunt Marilyn is in Australia...

But that does not mean she cannot still babysit me!

Okay- I know this is crazy, but isn't technology wonderful?

My sister is working in Australia for the next 6 months or so, and she was missing Jillian terribly. So, thanks to the built in cameras on our Mac computers, we have found a time (usually 7-8am for me which is 9-10pm for her) where she can sit with Jillian and hang out.

In the photos below, Marilyn is balanced on the mantle watching Jillian in her play pen. Usually, she sits next to her highchair while Jillian eats breakfast.

Often, Jillian will reach out and try to give Marilyn some of her food (**note, it's important to put the computer OUT of banana reaching range... haha)

I just had to share... Don't you wonder what Jillian's kids will experience that we could have never fathomed??? Hopefully it will be instant warping/travel. That would be nice. :)

P.S. I should add that there is sometimes a slight jumpyness in the image while Jillian and Marilyn are 'talking' but the sound quality is pretty awesome. As long as you have a good internet connection, you really can hold on a conversation just like you are on the phone!

Totally worth missing her morning nap...

This morning Jillian and I packed up and went to check out a local beach with some friends from our MOMS club. The beach was only 30 minutes away, and was perfect for little ones like Jillian, or older children that can swim. There is a large portion of the water that is sectioned off with a net/fence that keeps the water clear of debris or jellyfish, and the beach area is nice and clean. There are even bathroom and showers! Perfect! You do pay $7 per adult and $5 for children over 3 in order to use this particular beach (which could get quite pricey for a family!) but it worked out well for us and I thought it was worth it. One of the kids that worked there even came out with an electric drill to dig our umbrella into the sand for us!

The beach is called 'North Beach' and is actually part of the Chesapeake Beach area. We finished off our fun outing with a trip for ice cream and french fries! Could life be any better?!?

To top it all off, Jillian fell asleep in the car, and happily transfered into her crib at home for some more snoozing. This gives me time to relax a little, blog a bit, and get ready for the 4th of July tomorrow! I've got some side dishes to make...

We're celebrating tomorrow with our friends the Spencers at their house in Woodbridge, VA. Look forward to some photos of Ryan and Greg being 'Masters of the Show' while putting on a front yard extravaganza. haha!

Hope everyone has a great 4th-

Nancy
