This morning Jillian and I packed up and went to check out a local beach with some friends from our MOMS club. The beach was only 30 minutes away, and was perfect for little ones like Jillian, or older children that can swim. There is a large portion of the water that is sectioned off with a net/fence that keeps the water clear of debris or jellyfish, and the beach area is nice and clean. There are even bathroom and showers! Perfect! You do pay $7 per adult and $5 for children over 3 in order to use this particular beach (which could get quite pricey for a family!) but it worked out well for us and I thought it was worth it. One of the kids that worked there even came out with an electric drill to dig our umbrella into the sand for us!
The beach is called 'North Beach' and is actually part of the Chesapeake Beach area. We finished off our fun outing with a trip for ice cream and french fries! Could life be any better?!?
To top it all off, Jillian fell asleep in the car, and happily transfered into her crib at home for some more snoozing. This gives me time to relax a little, blog a bit, and get ready for the 4th of July tomorrow! I've got some side dishes to make...
We're celebrating tomorrow with our friends the Spencers at their house in Woodbridge, VA. Look forward to some photos of Ryan and Greg being 'Masters of the Show' while putting on a front yard extravaganza. haha!

How fun! That sounds like a nice beach to visit... :) Cute pics of Jillian! Hope you guys had a great 4th of July! :) Can't wait to see pics...
