Speaking of Elmo...

Jillian has taken to playing with a big stuffed Elmo that is wearing a shirt, and a back pack. She took off the shirt, and now, "Elmo naked!" Then, she started telling me that, "Elmo poop on the couch" so I pulled out some leftover size 1 diapers and put one on Elmo for her. She was in heaven. Taking the diaper off, I put it back on.... off, on, off...

Fast forward a few days:

Last night I go in to check on her before I go to bed, and I smell "The smell". When I looked into the crib, it was worse that I expected. Jillian had taken off her sleeper, 1/2 her diaper and there was poop everywhere. On the crib, on the sheet, on her blanket, on the pillow (she was sleeping on! yuck!) on her baby, on Elmo and on her. Smeared.

GROSS!!!

When she woke up mid-freak cleaning of her room in the middle of the night she looked at herself and said, "Jillian naked!" She was so proud!

Moral of the story- Don't let your toddler play with diapers. Bad idea.  :)

We have that huge Elmo. And it wears clothes and diapers. Oh no! Gosh I think Addie would freak if I put a back pack on him. Thanks for the idea

Oh, this happened to me once with Lily in her crib, but I had let her cry for about 10 minutes when she went to sleep. She liked pulling of her diapers and pjs. She was trying to tell me and I didn't listen and I was scarred for life! :) Same. poop everywhere in her hands and up the rails of the crib. Ick. Makes for a great story though!

Jillian has THE cutest personality. So funny!

Super gross!!! If you watch Jon and Kate +8, they have an episode similar to that--only Elmo wasn't involved. Sorry you had to clean it up.

Hi Nancy...
I am a friend of Dena's.
I look at your blog once in a while because I love the pictures! How do you do all the neat, creative things with them? I would love to be able to change things up a bit! If you could email me at melliebellie8@yahoo.com I would be so grateful.

Sorry to hear about the Elmo story, but it did provide a great laugh!

Oh my gosh, Nancy! That is funny! Although I am sure you didn't think it was funny at the moment ;) I will definitely remember not to let our little one play with diapers... ;)
