The rule on feeding Peanuts to your kids is widely debated. For us, it was recommended we wait to introduce Jillian to all nuts until she was at least 2 years old. A lot of people only wait until the age of 1, but since I have a mild walnut allergy, we took it slow.So... Today was the big day. We wanted to give it to her in the morning on a weekday in case she had any problems so it would be easy to bring her in to the doctor if necessary.
Jillian ate the 1st 1/4 of her PB&J quickly and said, "I like it!" but when Ryan and I stopped watching for her reaction, she smooshed the next 1/4 and rejected the other two squares. Oh well. So it was not a Jillian favorite right off the bat.
More importantly, when checking her out for a rash or any other problems throughout the day, she came up clean.
So- I guess we are a peanut friendly house again. Until September anyway when Liv enters the picture!
