I researched him online a little bit and found out that it is a male, Eastern Box Turtle. I guess that the girls have brown eyes, and the boys have red. Anyway- Ryan was traveling, so Jillian and I set up a little habitat for him so Ryan could take a look when he got home. We kept him for a couple of days, and eventually released him in a nice spot at our local park. It was fun having a turtle while it lasted!

He is not a very happy looking turtle. :) I remember doing things like this as a kid, only with cute little things like kangaroo rats, lizards & snakes. ha ha.
