Bring me down from cloud nine? Just a little... :)

Yes, we're totally smitten with our baby.  However, I had to post this photo (similar to the Grits story) to remind you all that life with a toddler comes with it's share of challenges.  In specific, I mean messes.

I know I was just talking about how great our baby is (and we still think so!) but here's another side of sweet independent Jillian.

Feeding herself cereal.

I walked by as she devoured her 4th bowl of rice crispies the other morning and noticed a moderate amount of cereal in her bib.  On my way back to get dressed I commented to her, "My my, you are a messy mess maker!"

Challenge accepted.

I hope you can tell what a disastrous mess the floor is...  The camera did not quite capture the full extent of milk splatter.
