I must confess

There's plenty of things that I'm not good at... To name a few: math, having a sense of direction, and keeping up with our laundry.

The math I can't do much about, the sense of direction I believe I was born without, but the laundry? Can I blame that on genetics? Sadly, I think not.

But, if I could go to a hypnotist and have them convince me that I LOVE doing laundry (of course, it's not really the 'doing' I despise, mostly just the hanging of items) I would be thrilled.

So, here's our house on laundry day (in other words, someone is out of underwear). The girls love sorting everything with me, Peanut loves to nap in the sun on top of piles waiting to get in the washer, and I try to find the silver lining in spending a day at the house with the girls hanging out and washing/folding/hanging, washing/folding/hanging...... on and on.

Okay- so now you know three of my shortcomings. Care to share yours?!?

A few of my shortcomings:

I'm a horrible speller, pretty into procrastination, and working hard at my public speaking which is currently littered with far too many 'likes' and 'ums'.

I'm with you on the laundry thing. I'm good at getting it clean, but putting it away is another story! I have piles of clean clothes in my room and a sock drawer that is full of clean but unmatched socks.

I also am no good at math...maybe that is why you and I became kindergarten teachers...cuz the extent of the math we had to teach was 2+2=4 :)
But I actually don't mind doing laundry...and if I lived closer to you I would totally come over and hang out with you all day on laundry day and gladly help hang up your clothes! ;)

I'll share my shortcomings if you come to my blog and share what makes you SHUDDER! :) I can't get the laundry put away, and often we live out of baskets of piles of clean laundry, shoot, I didn't even know that classified as a shortcoming. THANKS NANCY! :)

1. Also with the sense of direction, I mean I can walk into a store in the mall and then come out and go back the way I already came. CANNOT go the right direction. I know I need to invest in a GPS and this would make my life a lot easier on the road for sure!

2. I procrastinate to such a point that I am always making myself stressed and late on things that I had plenty of time to do. Like right now, I have a 5pm work deadline, a sick friend to go do a bible study with, and yet, here I come to your blog to list my shortcomings. What? Is wrong with me?

3. Cleaning the bathroom - hate at it, suck at it, and therefore pay someone $30 every two weeks to do it. Sometimes when I'm really buckling down on the frugal, I'll cut it out of the budget, commit to doing it, but I just don't. I refuse to spend my limited weekend time with my family scrubbing pee off the underseat. NO! Then my pour house cleaning is thrilled when I call back a month later after not doing much more than wiping down the counter once in that time. Sad and gross, but true.

definitely a sense of direction is not my forte. Also, cleaning bathtubs--despise it, and sweeping/mopping my floors. yuck I wish I could hire someone to just come and do that and the tubs.
